OK. Not YOUR Ccrack. Your pumpkins cracks. Last year we posted "stump" pictures. This year we'll be even more hideous.

I thought this ugly thing was going down when a crack softened to a depth of .75". But a light scraping & some Captan (or it could have been Benomyl) powder & a fan dried it up. She still cracks during every growth spurt. But I don't care any more. She either makes it or not.

I thought I'd join in displaying my crack. Posted a picture in my diary. Unfortunatly this was my best prospect this year. What a sickening feeling. Unfortunatly I have another one in the patch that I'm worried will succumb to the same fate.
