A while back someone posted their formula for estimating the final end weight/size of a pumpkin at weigh-off based on the days (or weeks) from pollination and growth up to that point. I can't remember where I saw this or if it was felt to be really useful or not. Anyone know where to find this? -- Thanks, Chris

example if u had 297 inches ott at day 40 x 1.29= 383 ott, which is 1142 lbs est, that pumpkin would have a chance to get 1142 lbs by the end of the season if u have good weather, good plants, bug free, and consistant growth

Thanks, big one. Do you remember where you found that? Seems like there was also a way to do re-figure it at various points in the growth cycle, but maybe I'm imagining it. -- Thanks, Chris

To clarify: big one gave us a formula for estimating the final weight from the day 40 measurements...a 1.29 multiplier. At day 50 or day 60 some other multiplier would apply, and presumably accuracy of the estimate would improve. Anybody have those multipliers or a formula for generating them? Thanks, Chris

Thanks!
Also, I found an additional technique for this estimation in How to Grow World-Class Giant Pumpkins III.
Thanks, Chris
