Good question.

Our seeds popped this year between 4-27 & 4-29. The first females opened a little earlier than normal this year on June 28th. So this year the first chance occurred 60 days after emergence. But all of these early flowers failed. The first really successful sets were 10 days later so that would be 70 days.

Every year & every patch is different so I think it will be interesting to see what the average turns out to be.

I think weather plays a huge part in this. I plant Jack o lanterns Mid June and the females are open by mid-late July. My daughter planted a 590 Sherwood when we planted the field pumpkins and I pollinated it like 35 days later. On the average I would say 60 days is Norm. Shannon

Based on my past notes.. i started my seeds on may 1st and had them in there greenhouse by the 7th - 10th.. pollination where between 12th-16th of july (small greenhouse design 5x8)
last year started on may 3rd put in there greenhouses by the 12th and had pollination between july 7th - 12th (used very large greenhouse design 12 x16)
this year started on may 3 again and put out in the homes between 8th- 10th... i had poliinations on june 28,29 and july 1st - july 5th (went back to small greenhouse design 5x8)
I agree with Shannon , weather and soil temp
