Subject: Every other secondary -how's it going?

I'm wondering how it is going for those who have let only every other secondary grow on their plant(Christmas tree pattern). Are the leaves large enough to fill in the gaps between secondaries? Was your main vine growth more vigorous? How's the pumpkin growing? Would you follow this method again? Any other observations appreciated.

I did the every other secondary on one plant…My best fruit is on that plant. (Est 550#) although the plant looks pretty sad right now. Because I lost many of the secondaries between the crown and the pumpkin due to SVB’s. I would do it again. It allowed more room to weed and foliar spray and access to the main vine. Leaves did seem to get larger…Chris
