I seemed to be rolling along at about 15 pounds a day, when the last week and a half it seems like it has slowed to about 2 or 3 pounds a day. Could it be weather related and will it recover?

You ae not alone, I was doing 20 lbs all week and then after a cooler night last night I only did 10 lbs today.

Interesting.
How old are your pumpkins that slowed down?

Wiskey Runner,
At 30 days, your pumpkin should have the potential to grow for quite awhile yet. I asked the number of days, thinking if the pumpkins were 55 days or older, they may be close to maturity; hence the decreased growth.
If you check the New Growers forum, under the post "Growth Rate", you will find some encouragement. One grower experienced a period of no growth, then it started back up again. Of course each situation is unique.
I would say if the weather has cooled down significantly, or there has been a lack of sun exposure, this could have caused slower growth. If the conditions get better, the growth may pick up again. I've seen my pumpkin growth cut in half, when it cools down by quite a bit. It picks up with warmer, sunnier conditions.
Another factor could be lack of water or a lack of food getting to the plant.
I imagine other factors, such as pests and disease, could slow a pumpkin down as well.
Disclaimer- I'm a first year grower, so take my advise for what you think it's worth.

Mine was at around 30 to 35 days old too when mine stopped after cold weather hit at night time for a week and a half straight.

My pumpkin is 38 days old. I should still be growing at a pretty good clip. This week the temps are supposed to be in the 80's. Maybe it will pick up.
