I lifted the following information off my companies website. Our Indiana store aren't very close to you at 42 miles. But finding Chelated Calcium at retail garden centers isn't usually possible. You can also contact our main office in Cleveland & arrange a UPS delivery. 800-321-5325
What you're after is:
082974 GREEN FLO 6-0-0 CHELATED 10CA 2.5 GAL
LESCO stores near you! South Bend, IN 42 miles Manager: Jason Paulus Phone:574-288-9471 _________________________ Mokena, IL 42 miles Manager: Mark Opyd Phone:815-469-9770 _________________________ Darien, IL 50 miles Manager: Robert Osier Phone:630-493-4560
As I recall, if you go into the featured grower chat archive & select Joel Holland's chat, there is (I think) a link to Joel's website. He also sells Chelated Calcium by mail order.
Hope this helps.

Most Calcium is added to the soil in the way of Lime or Gypsum. After fruit set though, when roots have really reached out & found most of the soil clacium they're going to find, some people like to apply Chelated Calcium liquid as a foliar treatment &/or by placing Calcium soaked towels on the fruit.
Does it help? If all we were to look at was leaf tissue analysis, then the answer is "yes". Does it help the fruit? Beats me. The theory is that the fruit stays more elastic & resists splits better. Since having started Calcium wraps this year, I am inclined to agree our fruit are more elastic. Plus last year I believe I noted a slight reduction in fungal fruit rots which used to be a real bother here.
Some claim that Calcium wraps make for heavier fruit wall thickness too. I can't say as I believe this claim unless maybe the soil Calcium was really depleted & the foliar applications were making up the difference.
