today while out in the garden ,one of the leafs ripped off accidentely..........I did not remove the stem but proceeded to water the plants as normal....through the light of the sun which has not been around much you could see a 1/4 of the stem filled up........Hey is there any benefit to filling up the stem with water....wont it go straight to the vine??.......or is this just a quicker way to rot the stem...LOLOL...Anyone do anything like this before???....

All the time. LOL The stems are full of water any time they break. A little more isn't a problem. Trim it flush later if it concerns you but despite the reaction from some folks, I still have never seen something like this cause a stem to rot.

The leaf that I cut right by the stem of one of my pumpkins I filled with calcium water hopeing it would go right to the fruit but it just kinda sat there. No rot though!
