With all the cutting, surgery that has to be preformed....I am usually running out of light when I see another one and rather than trust my memory (what little I do have left) I was thinking. A band aid, misc. sizes, add some powder Sevin and Captan, or chemical of choose to the sterile pad and then slap it on the gapping hole. At least then later on some adventureous critters wouldn't venture in. I had been covering some of the larger cuts with floral tape, just so time consuming. I've got a small patch and I have no idea how anyone is able to keep up. Any comments ?

one of my plants got attacked by the squash vine borer. i had to do about 5 cuts throuhout the vine, and when i was done i used regular old hospital bandages to wrap the vine in. it has been over a month and the plant and pumpkin are still growing stronge. this is my first year growing them, but i think regular old bandage tape works. at least it did for me.
