So is there going to be a growers support group on this site for all those who now must painfully wait until next growing season? Kind of like a post-partum (pumpkin-tum) depression. Kidding of course, but do you all feel like there is just that little something missing now that the season is done for most of us?

Last year I recommended growing "virtual giant pumpkins" on this site to help us AG growers through the doldrems of winter. I thought if we could grow a "virtual pumpkin" via the net it would keep us slightly sane. Only problem would be distinguishing actual pumpkin weights from V.O.W. (virtual official weights!) These boys have enough work on their hands with free seed distribution and everything else on this site to even try to bother with this concept!

I'm glad to have my season over, but ready for next year! This year was disapointing because of the weather, but I'll hope that next year will be better (cant be any worse).

Kilr, maybe you can come up with a board game for your idea, sounds fun to me...lol I can just see...1 pound to much fertilizer, season over, pumpkin split!

hey, do you remember a little while back, all the kids were carrying around these little digital keychains? Tamagotchi's or something like that. Little pets you fed and played with by pressing a button. They should come out with a pumpkin version of this. And on the back they could put the 'magic secret' milk button for all those unafflicted who truly believe this is the secret. Side note to this...ever had troubles convincing someone that liquid fish and seaweed is an actual product? They believe the milk tale, but this godsend product can't possibly exist in thier minds. Funny...

Sophmore Blues, I believe a support group is just what you need. It sounds like what you are saying is, you need to go rototill or something. Have you worked in all your "amendments" and planted a cover crop yet? Perhaps the fresh air will do you some good??? Best wishes Gadberry...
