As most of you know this is my first year growing AG pumpkins and i'm haveing allot of fun, problem is i got off to a really late pollination date due to problems with animals in the patch, I now have 2 fruit set one is on the 1178L wentzell growing FAST and another one on the 620 Boyton larger then a softball, At this late in the season it bascially leaves me with cool nights and shorter warm days any chance i could still grow a descent one around 100 lber mark?
thanks

Dave if u get warm weather for the rest of the month and a good september, well it might just happen, i was talking to a guy who heard that it cold be a dry september, we might have decent weather. Last year i polinated a pumpkin end of july and didnt set until the first week of augest, and come time to october 5, pumpkin fest it weighed in at 547.4 lbs

That 794 was grown from a no name seed with the 935 as one of the parents

Dave, Mother nature is over due for a warm spell. So many cool months have gone by these last few seasons. Hold on to your hat because September breaks the trend. Fierce storms in the south are starting pentrate the eastcoast. The Jet Stream will rise high into Nortern Ontario and I hope Sept. is going to be above average with a late frost. I've got an 1156 larsen on the vine that will respond nicely. You can still squeeze a good 250 to 300lbs and maybe more out of your baby.
Good Luck & Good Growing

Dave, The above posts are encouraging; to me as well. Mine just passed 70" circumference, and I'm still hoping/wishing for 20lb./day or more growth. Mine grew about 12 lbs. yesterday. I pollinated mine on July 20, so it is 26 days old. It will be interesting to see what you end up with. Good luck buddy! My tomatoes are about 2 weeks behind this year. If I have a "normal" weather year next year, it should be exciting. Just think if those earlier sets weren't damaged, Dave.
