Subject: GROWING WITH NO BASE AND A 3 FT MAIN

an interesting development in the wallace patch this season
on july 20th we lost the base and part of the main to a bacterial situation on one of our plants
instead of pulling the plant ( our 1068 from last year ), we elected to take the base amd main up to 3 ft before the fruit out we ended up with two side vines before the fruit and normal sides after the pumpkin has average 18 to 20 lbs per day and put on over 500 lbs since its possible this fruit could go high nines in this condition who would have thunk it? the 1068 from last year was 845 x 798

Wow! This is incredible results given earlier discussions about how much the greenery after the fruit may or may not help sustain larger pumpkins! Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

hmmm... I wonder if this would classify as being a clone? If it is not actually attached to a "stump", then it is actually just a cutting from the initial plant. It's not the real deal with an intricate and vast rooting system in place at the inital growing point. Wow. I'd like to learn more on this certainly.

Hey Dick If you ask me I think you should just take an axe to it and end it!!!!!!!!!One less I'll have to worry about. LOL
