Came back from a week vacation and found a mutant tendril on my 455 Liggett. Posted it in my diary. It measued 12" at its widest and 10" from cut end to the tip. Looks like a ribbon vine but only on the tendril.
Lot of wasted energy went to this beast and not to my last giant. Now I'm rethinking about pruning the tendrils for next year.....Tom
BTW...Measured my 455 Liggett x self and at day 29 with a week of cooler than average temps it measured at 95" circ. So If all goes well I have broken my old PB of 184lbs from 2001.
