Alright folks sound off on your opinion on this one.
Are you an optimist or a pessimist? If you want - explain why.
Every year at the beginning of the season we all have high hopes and dreams of attaining that elusive goal. Unfortunately things can, and do go wrong.
I start my season out as an optimist but as things progress the pessimism starts to take over. Thinking of all the things that can and do go wrong during the season confirms it.
Had a few set backs but in general things are OK in my patch. There are still 49 days to go and plenty of things can go wrong during that time.
Ya'll grow 'em BIG!

Plenty of things can go right too. We have one last hope. A late set that's chugging along better then the ealry sets ever did. This glass is half full.

I'm with you Steve. With all the things that have gone wrong for me this season, something has to turn around and a couple of later sets for me are the possible answer. My glass is also half full...

I am optimistic for next year. I won't mention this year.

I try to be an optimist but it's not always that easy. The season is not over by a long shot yet. Norm

Well after another 4 inches of rain yesterday and my vines and pumpkins now resting in standing water. Just incase that wasn't enough, they are calling for another 4-5 inches this weekend.
At this point, I'm optimistic that the brews are going to ease pessimistic in me.
I'm going on vacation - good timing I need to stop watching - during which time I'm not going to call to see how they are doing. I'm taking the 'Watch pot never boils' approach.
Grow'em big I'll check em in a week when the water table lowers. (Hopefully!)

I started the season with no hopes at all. The plants crashed down in the greenhouse 2 times and lost many roots and leaves. Just planted them and suddenly everything was fine. Generally I´m an optimist but sometimes it´s a good idea just to go along doing your job and see what will happen. Surprise is better than pie in the sky.
