I made around 10 pollinations with frozen pollen this season and not a single one took. They were stored in dry sealed packages (matchboxes) between 1 and 3 weeks at -17 F. Seems not to work for me. Any other experiences?

I was 0 for 5 with frozen pollen. The pollen seemed dry when I used it. I think freezing pollen must be a finicky process. I might try experimenting a little more next year.

4 pollinations with frozen pollen here - none of them took.

I never tried the frozen pollen, but using it in the fridge worked for me up to 2 days old. I had great success. Brooks

I had 3 take, 2 went down shortly after. I have a 1260 weir x 580 Weir growing that's about 30 days...it was from frozen.
