Hi Folks,
Keep my cell phone handy & charged in case you get lost. Some of us will meet at 8AM the commuter lot at the convergence of Routes 5, 25, 15 & 108 where I live on the Stratford/Trumbull line. Then we’ll pile into one vehicle & go to Dave’s. My truck seats 4 & we have only 2 if interested.
1.) Dave Garrell's 9AM (best guess of times) 2.) Steve Jepsen's (10:30) 3.) Ray Leonzi’s (11:00) 4.) Lunch (12:00) 5.) Bart Toftness' (1:30) 6.) Alan Reynolds' (who won’t be home but we’re still welcome as long as we don’t walk among the plants) (2-2:30)
We could really use another stop. We took all day seeing 5 patches last year. But the first one was in White Plains, NY. So we had some early windshield time. We had hoped for 2 other lower Fairfield Co stops &/or one northern stop that didn’t work out this year. Ray claims there isn’t much to see at his place. And my best fruit has been going down to a split all week. So my stop will be more of an autopsy which might segue into a funeral service. LOL
I’d like to stop someplace for a real sit-down lunch this year. We just ran & starved last year raiding vegetables at every stop.
To think; this year really started off very promising too.
We always stay out of the patch unless directed by our host that the walking boards are OK. Smokers should ask first. Some folks even ask smokers to stay out of the patch entirely. Let's respect their wishes NO MATTER WHAT.
Please drive safe & bring freezer bags for keeping cameras dry, notepads, umbrellas & phones. Don’t forget to charge those cameras & cell phones tonight.
Last minute changes of heart still have time to join in. Call my cell.
Steve

Is the 203-254-9612 number good for snide remarks and casual conversation too?

The GIANT sQUASH & pUMPKIN gROWERS of CT would like to thank all the Hosts & participants for a great day.
The 2004 Metro SpyTour was a success. Once the website gets straightened back out, I'll post the images I snagged & drop a few details as to what we discovered.
Glenn, we missed both your snide remarks & company this year.
Chuck, I drove the 3 Game Boys for a while & they had a great time. I wish you & Alex had been here too. The boys do better together & there was always a Dad around when their Nintendo eyes needed a break. They were even interested in the pumpkins for a while! LOL
Scott, Ken, Adam, & Chris, it was great to have you guys along this year. I hope as this event grows you will all continue to attend. Perhaps we can still find time for a "Northern SpyTour" before harvest time.
Billy, I know & understand. Our thoughts & Prayers were & continue to be with you.
Thanks again everyone.
Steve
