I did not turn the furnace on yet, but I did wear two sweatshirts and a pair of long underwear to bed lastnight. My wife loves this weather because she is always HOT. I'm freezing and under the covers and she is sweating and laying on top of the covers with the window open. well, she is 8 months pregnent so I guess she has an excuse.

My pumpkin is just sitting there looking stupid with a blanket over it. No measureable growth at all.

I'm debateing ways to make my plant feel warm. Its either going to be a foliar feeding with Tabasco Sauce or broadcasting ground cayenne pepper around the stump and watering it in.

Started a fire in the woodstove last night. This morning I closed the greenhouse back up and turned the thermostats back on. Maybe I can trick the plant back to thinking it is summer.

A fellow grower in Allen county visited today, and he said he washed frost off his leaves at 6 am. His patch is in a low lying open field. I was down to 45.7º so I can imagine he wasnt full of crap..............

Does a low of 70F heal fruit cracks? We all have our deamons.
