I think that is interesting also to know what growers consider as marker for big fruit plant production (and for breeding): size of the leaves, seed size, stem size, none...; this could help in the early stages when the problem is what plant to keep and what to cull. Paolo

I have no idea what the record for the largest leaf is.... "We're not growing salad, we're growing fruit!"....
But my 801.5 Stelts plant had several leaves with a diameter of slightly over 37".

Paolo, If anything I think the diameter/circ. of the vine is of any importance, leaf and seed size don't matter anything... But even the vine probably says little about the fruit... Martin

Unusually large leaves could indicate high Ntrogen or low light levels. Neither condition is "fruit friendly".
But of course many large leafed plants toss big fruit.
There is also a correlation to the "number of leaves per foot of vine area" in there too. Every time I prune off a leaf that gets tattered on it's edges from encroaching on the walking paths, I notice that the neareast neighboring leaf gets larger & tries to lean into & occupy that space.
