Today the record was tied in Wausau (local TV station). 55 Degrees ties the lowest high temperature EVER (EVER!!!!!!) recorded in August. This really stinks.
WI might take the kicker for worst weather this summer now...i dont know if i'd rather have hail 15 times a year (like Colorado) or this crap....MN usually gets what we have, but they warm up better than we do usually (except the northern parts).
If there wasnt so much cloud cover, it would freeze here....thats the only thing saving our already horrible season of growing pumpkins.

70 here today. I don't feal too bad now that I hear from you guys further west & north of me. Sure has been a tough spell of cold weather. If it ever does warm-up we will all be plagued by splits. Growth at LanTerra has slowed to a crawl this week :(

Drew. Some indications are good but it has been difficult. I will pay a few local visits on Friday. Adrian always has trick up his sleeve you know. I'll bet his greenhouse is already up. He stopped by last month for some 1301 flowers around the first week of July. Ralph Giffens patches looked better than Gervais at the end of June. So who knows? I had a good one but geeze the dam weather has shut it down. I believe I'm falling behind the Buckeyes of Ohio. Football is just around the corner and no summer yet.

Dam weather. I'm saying the hell with the weather with the completion of my 60x20 foot long greenhouse, witch will happen tomarro morning( only costed me $30). I just have to through my massive sheet of plastic over it and add a couple of space heaters and BAM! instant 80 degrees all day all night. I'm so determand to beat my personal best that I'll do anything. I was eaven thinking about frementing sugar water in my green house(one 5 gallen will produce co2 for 10 to 12 days)All my pollinations are really late but my latest is aug 1st. I'll have to see how much I can get it to gain in sept. Good luck to all!

You guys can have some of the heat here. The high is just sitting there. Official high in Sacratomato- Sacramento was 105. It was 107 in my patch and 95 at 6:30. It is now 10:00 and 82. The air conditioner is still going. Low humidity and high fire danger. I hate to see what Arizona is doing. Had the misters on most of the day.

The temps stink here in colo also, as it is dipping into the 40s tonight, and the high today barely hit the upper 60s, and again with no sun which = no growth again....I am with you guys in wisconsin, as this year just stinks, and now to top it off powerdy mildew is starting to run rampant do to all of the wet & cold it makes perfect mold conditions, not only on pumpkins, but it is causing disease on all of the other plants around as well...OH well...JK...
