Which is preferable...Miracle gro or 20 20 20? On the container of the miracle gro it says to fertilize vegetables every two weeks....is that enough for A.G.'s? Also would 5 mils daily of 20 20 20 be better? I used 5 mils of the 20 20 20 daily except when it was hot. Then I used miracle gro...but what ratio should each plant get? I am just winging it and wonder if there is a tried and true method . My largest pumpkin weighs roughly 96 pounds at 25 days.

Miracle Grow, Peters, Nu-Farm, Fritt, Doggett, my employer LESCO, Lebanon, Anderson's, Simplott, Verdicon, & a whole raft of others all make or more often private label 20-20-20.
Check the guaranteed analysis portion of the label since all these companies also either make or private label plenty of other anaylsis too.
Most of the time the part of the country you live in determies who makes a specific soluble fertilizer & it is rarely the name on the box. Freight costs dictate that whichever milling plant is closest to a given market, then we all flock to them with out labels in hand for them to paste on the approved packaging.
Very small pack retail Y houseplant stakes are an exception to this rule, but you get the drift.
Don't get too hung up on the names.

The JR Peters family, original owners of "Peters", make a 5-12-26 that water solubles very nicely, easy on the pumpkin plant, and has a little extra *umph* when adding the recommended amounts of Epsom salts and Calcium Nitrate. Now under the name of "Jack's Proessional"

My miracle gro is 15 30 15 so it is different in composition than the 20 20 20. Which is best do you think? The 20 20 20, according to the label, should not be used during hot dry weather (which it is not) and the miracle gro can be used anytime.

I used Miracle Grow 15-30-15 it made a small difference on my plants. Then I used triple 20 plant pro a little more than 15mL around 15g of it and it did great on my plants giant leaves!

Earlier in the season, Miracle Gro. Later in the season after the fruit is set, Peters 20-20-20, perhaps with a light touch of 0-0-60 to boost the potassium, BUT NOT TOO MUCH.
