My hubby swears he heard one of mine grow last summer. He said it makes the kind of noise a tire makes when it pops out on the rim. Personally, I have not heard one...but I believe it is possible.

Oh yeah. Pumpkin farts are real.

I didn't believe it either until I heard it myself. I'm sure it's nothing more than the stretching & internal cracking of the shell.

Have your friend consider all the noise they'd be making if they gained 30 lbs & 6 inches at the waist in 24 hours. LOL

Farting in public is disrespectful. Hearing a pumpkin cracking is undesirable. So best for a pumpkin should be to shut up while growing :-)
