Well, I think my Pumpkin is on its last laps, it was gaining around 20 pounds a day untill like 4 days ago, it slowed down to 14 pounds a day and now its 7 pounds. Would like some advice on what to do now? If it does stop growing in the next couple days it wont make it to the pumpkin festvial sept,22 would it? Anyone eles have one slow down like this then kick back into gear again? Been having some really cool nights here in ohio the last 4 to 5 days, Lowest it went down to was 49 degrees, When i went to work at 530am in the morning i could see my breath as i went out to my truck. Weather the next 7 days dont look much better lows in the mid to low 50,s

I'm having same problem with a very young fruit (32 days). Went from 28-39 lbs day for 7 days straight, now gradualy loosing 4 pounds a day now down to about 23 a day. Been very cool here as well, low's around 49-55 last 3-4 days which is when my fruit started slowing down. I hope it is just the weather. I was reading to post same question, now I'll be reading reply's to this post. Hope there are answers, actually hoping with a little warmer weather, it picks up again.

Shoulda made it to the Ohio Valley Tour/Picnic, that would've almost guaranteed it would keep growing!

the weather in ri has been in the crapper also over the last four days
each fruit dropped off by 5 lbs ( avg) per day
when that happens during a cold snap they should pick up again
if this was early sept rather than early august then i would expect the drop to be permanent

I wanted to go bad this year, but my wife had only a few days left in beauty college and she had to go to a hair show that day to get the rest of her credits or I would have been there.Had to watch the kids, If my little girl didnt have horse camp i would have brought em. I wont miss next years for sure!
