OK, one or two aborts I can deal with but now it is down to the crunch. The fruit on my 1088 van Kooten grow like nothing I have ever seen and get huge 10 day measurements and then just stop growing at around day 15. My plants are really healthy with huge green leaves so I just don't understand it?? Any help, suggestions or advice??
Thanks/Glenn

maybe sounds like in inbalance in your soil, have you had it checked? How much are your fertilizing and with what? Too much nitrogen can cause aborts. There is an outside shot of just getting a plant that won't take for pumpkins too. Hope things turn around, Jimmy

Thanks Jimmy. Have not done the soil test thing yet buy may do it next year. I have been building my soil for the past 5 years following the docgipe method of organic. So far this year I have only used fish/Kelp. Maybe too much nitrogen in all the manure and compost I added...hard to say.

some growers have abort problems when too much manure and compost have been added, but it takes a lot to over do it:) Jimmy
