I have been wondering about this for a while now and since I DONT ask very many questions I think ill ask one for a change.,lol.
Can someone please explain the seed process to me to get a seed that i grew in my name. Does it have to be weighed at a local fair to make the seed legit? Also, if i was to grow a 1000 pounder and it rotted tomorrow, could i still register this seed? Brooks

The seeds don't really get registered. If you grew a fruit that weighed 800lbs, it would automatically be the 800 Brook 2004 ___
Official weigh off = 800 Brook '03 Weighed with split = 800 Brook ;03 DMG Unofficial scale...= 800 Brook '03 UOW No scale just taped= 800 Brook '03 EST
So the best destinction of all is to get an official weigh-off slip from a recognized GPC sanctioned event where the fruit weighs more than 500 lbs. This way it may also be submitted to & listed at the AGGC.
AGGC can't list all the fruit grown every year. So the 500 lb rule went into effect last year.
