I have rusty colored spots in the front side ribs of my pumpkin,the rusty marks are not leaking (and never have leaked) nor are they deep into the skin,they kinda look like stretch marks, but when i rub my finger over the marks they are ruff feeling. Is this normal? or is this pumpkin just starting to show its age? I have a picture of it in my diary, sorry its not very clear, but thats the best i could do with the cam i have, Hopefully it will help a little.

Tough picture but your fruit is probably starting to "cantaloupe". This is normal.
