Hey onlyme thanks for responding. I am new at this too. The dry hot weather has stalled my two pumpkins. One is at about 220 lb and the other at 200. How did you do last year?

Only started last year and had 3 pumpkins over 90 lbs. I had a late start this year and the vine is just blooming , I hope to get at least one (good one) to make a good jack-o-lantern. I have more hopes for next year, I have learned so much. This sight and several like have been a big help. Sounds like you are haveing a good year even if it is dry.

onlyme, Thanks for replying. Both my pumpkins have developed a soft stem and dead vines and had to be picked. I now have two or three volleyball size on side vines. I think squash vines and hot dry weather did me in. Good luck to you, I will be reading your progress
