I have a hole 3/4" deep and one inch wide in my pumpkin that is about 200 lbs right now. does'nt go to center. This had been a smaller hole much earlier on, and I had plugged it with captan/sevin, but the plug came out and i didn't notice until this morning. salvagable? and if so, any suggestions on a patch for it?
Thanks,
Matt

I have used damp cotton balls rolled in Captan and that works rather well, but will dry out and shrink and needs re-applied. Stellpflug used to patch them with silicon caulk.

Tree grafting wax works well. It expands and moves with the pumpkin and keeps the water out too. In the end if it makes it you can pull out the wax from the wound. I have seen this done before in NH from someone that knows a thing or two 'bout pumpkins. :)
