I was wondering if I could do some preventative strengthening to my stem & vine. Could I be wrapped somehow? Thanks, Doeski

doeski how about crushing up some v i a g r a and spraying the stem ? sorry i couldnt resist a couple calcium sprays could possibly help ( ive never known anyone to ask this question so im at a loss )
we usually trim and prep the pumpkin and according to what we have we adjust
example ----- shorter stems need extra play on the main ( if its real short we can also ramp up the blossum end ) if it becomes a continued problem and stress can not be eliminated you can also cut the main off after the fruit
----many large pumpkins have been grown with no main after the fruit also if you crack or split a vine duck tape wrapped around the area does wonders ---- the vine will heal itself ( pumpkin heal thyself )

I have been "ramping" the blossom end, and praying it holds on for 25 more days!!!
