I just cut open a 15 day cull from secondary on my Welty vwo plant. It taped out at 96 inches OTT (24.4 pounds est) but my bathroom scale said 45 pounds. I cut it open to discover absolutely NO cavity inside, Hundreds of huge seeds (immature, though) and flesh the texture of watermelon.
This is the first time I've let a pumpkin on grow that big before culling it. Is this normal? or did I used to have something special?

they dont get a cavity until they get larger. no cavity at 15 days is quite normal.

bummer. It would have been cool to be growing THE plant that produced solid fruit! My fruit was 46% heavy to the chart, although I know the charts are generally not reliable for low measurements due to the lack of weight data available on very small AGs.
Still, can you imagine taping out at 350" knowing that the fruit was solid! LOL! Oh well, the dream was sweet. :-D
