I have a plant that ended up with all three: Main Vine, Wishbone Vine and a Back Vine. Each of them have a pumpkin. Which one (if any) should I cull? Main Vine is 155 OTT (P23day) doing ~7lb/day Wishbone is 106 OTT (P16day) doing 3.5lbs/day BackVine is 100 OTT (P15day) doing 3.5lbs/day.
Growth is not wild yet, but we've had nothing but clouds and rain for pretty much all of July. Especially these past two weeks.
And www.weather.com is calling for more rain the rest of this week. I'm going to hack their site and change that if they don't soon :-P Why don't they understand that I need some SUN SHINE! Give the rain to those that need it - we've had enough... :0
Thank you for your input and thoughts.

Based on what I am reading in HTGGPIII I am going to wait until day 30 to make my choice. The pumpkins really start to accelerate in pounds per day around day 20 or 25 (this is also my experience this year). I am going to try to stick with a main vine fruit; however, I have a fruit on the back vine that is growing at a faster rate then the one on my main. I plan to wait until the fruit on the back main reaches day 30 at which point I will compare growth rates and go for it. Some growers keep two fruit until September in case something goes wrong. For me, I am going to cull down to one. Good Luck. Kayla

Good point and hopefully in the next couple weeks we'll see the sun and get to see real growth numbers to compare. Thank you Kayla.
