Ok, how many of you guys let your main vines keep growing?

The main vine on my 1178L Wentzell is over 20 Ft now the main vine on my 620 Boyton is around the 25 ft mark now
both plants are growing well with secondarys measureing 8 + foot to date
lots of females showing up and will be pollinating a few this week.
probably around 3rd week in aug at that time my mains should be well over 30ft thats when i plant on cutting all mains and secondarys

Ben you crack me up! On a seriouse note one of our plants main is now well over 30'. The fruit is set at about 24' and life is good in Cheney Washington.

I thought you lived in Oregon??
Ya, I had a pumpkin on my 783 at 25 ft or so, seems to have aborted though. :(
But seriously, some growers I've talked to like to keep their mains going and I was just curious what other growers did this.
Anyway........ bring it Gadberry lol

I always let mine go untill they fizzle out on their own, have two slowing down already loosing thickness. I have two more still chugging away yet.

My main was about 23 ft which i just dead ended due to some lagging of the fruit growth. good luck!

Cut mine 10ft past set fruit. Set fruit is 15ft out. Total ft 25.

IM letting my one plant grow this year as its too small but then again my second largest fruit is on a plant that is only 100 sqare feet, which really damage leaves from hail.
