Do the big growers inject their pumpkins with a syringe and a special fert? Someone told me the otherday that Jerry rose does this. Is this some big secret or is it a bunch of b.s.

I'd like to point out that I am Vineman in Santa Rosa, CA. The person who made this post is Vinemann (with two n's) in Southington, Ohio...I just don't want people to confuse me with the "double n" Vinemann...not that I don't believe that people are injecting their pumpkins to grow them big, or anything like that. We all do it, just like Lance Armstrong and those track and field freaks.

the only thing i use is a shot of calcium nitrate in spring and 50 lbs of kelp per site then the agro k program.Most of my pumpkins are averaging 30 to 35 inches of circumferece growth over last 6 days also have 2 good squash growing had a 67.5 inch cir.on 895.5 hester at 17 days old yesterday doing it for you wayne.Jerry
