how long after the feamle opens will it "except" pollen. i covered a female to pollinate friday morning, i couldnt get to my patch at all on friday. I went today in the morning and uncoverd the it, it looked fine so i decided to attempt to pollinate it since its kinda late...is there any hope at all or will it not take now?

Several hours at most is the longest I've ever made her wait. I could be wrong, but I believe viability drops sharply after the "time".

yeah, ya gotta get it done by noon on the day it opens I would think. The hotter the weather the less time ya have.
