The winner was 698lbs. It had a real nice shape and color. It was grown by a young man who has won this contest 5 years running. I think his name was Vanhoutte. Better watch out for this guy.

Yeah Pumpkinpicker I was there. It was the first time I went to a weigh off. I thought it would be close just by looking. I would say those boys handling the pumpkins needed some Doans pills after that. I was surprised that the cream colored pumpkins weighed less than the others. I had hoped to bring a pumpkin but I only managed 96 lbs this year. Good luck on next years crop Bob. I hope to enter something next year.
