My yellow pumpkins are showing the slightest signs of orange (just a little) now, at about 27 days. Is that a bad sign---Orange too soon? Does it mean they have had too much sun? I have them tented, but some sun has gotten through at times. I now have a towel covering them. Or is this all normal and does not indicate a begining-of-the-end of growth. Steve

steve,
This is very normal, don't worry about it. As you fruit slowly matures, it will turn more and more orange. You should get atleast 60 days of growth on your fruit, hopefully 70 to 80 if you can really keep it going:) Jimmy
