Is it at all possible to raise a pumpkin indoors during the winter? Now I am not talking about an atlantic giant here i mean any kind of pumpkin. Would it work? If it does how does one go about doing it? Thought it would be cool to try if it would work.

I have heard of growers growing one pumpkin indoors for 2 years, then taking it to a weigh-off.

yes, you can, but the pumpkins will end up being the size of those tiny ones you can buy at stores if you pot them

Why would you want to do that. I'd rather be wakeboarding on my indoor heated lake!

Kenny- i'd rather be wake boarding too !... you can do it in the winter also... all it takes is a fullbody wet suit on the cold days and a dry suit on the below freezing days... unless the lake has ice on it, of course.
but back to the question... it would take a lot of grow lights and dirt inside your house to get anything at all. and you might get woken up by the DEA busting down your door with guns in hand.

Eh, just thought it might be fun to try. Especially since this years growing season was a flop. Thought Jack-Be littles would be cool. Guess not huh.

jack-be-littles ? i thought you were talking AG's... you know like a 20 x 40 ft plant inside your house... that would be something to see. i bet jack be littles would work. you could grow them in a big pot ! try it ... what's the worst that could happen - you don't get any... but it would still be something to do during the dreay winter !

I read that the Wee-B-Little's are considered a bush type plant only spreading about 4 feet. You might try those. Tom
