This is the FIRST year ive ever ever seen a mushroom in my patch, a few weeks ago after a good days rain and some warm weather they started showing up here and there around the pumpking plants. it just finished raining here for almost a week straight and the Temps have been in the low 90's
now its been 90's with HOT HUMID days. went out to the patch this mourning and my entire garden is packed with mushrooms all over the friggen place includeing the lawn
around the area were my pumpkings grow out onto.

1. What causes this?
2. Can they cause any harm to the plants ? being they
are takeing over the garden?

3. any easy way to get rid of them besides pulling them one by one

thanks
Dave

I have alot of funky mushrooms too. Manure is usually the cause for this. I get them in my veggie garden too, they don't last long and I have never had a problem with them as far as an effect on what I am growing. Wouldn't worry, if anything it is a sign of very fertile soil!

It's the cool wet weather. Don't be concerned unless a really big one starts to interfere with a plant. Then just knock it over or pitch it.
