My pumpkin has been gaining 17 to 20 pounds a day,but since we had 3 days of wet and cool weather in the low 70,s during the day and low 60,s at night, will this make a pumpkin grow slower? Reason i ask is because my pumpkin seems to have stop growing, i measured it 3 days ago and it was 212 total inches, then i measured it two days later and it was 214 total inches, thats only 5 pounds in 2 days. I hope i measured wrong 3 days ago. If it is slowing down on growth is it possable that it could pick back up to the 17 to 20 pounds a day again?

Yes, such weather can really shut down fruit growth... And more than likely it will never again get back to the growth rate that it showed in warm weather. At least that has been my experience. It will be less severe if the fruit is still under 30 days old, older fruits can gradually shut down completely and ripen out.

If you measure your pumpkin 3 times, you may come up with 3 different measurements,(especially once it gets big). I have seen them slow down and pick back up again, but if they stop, they're usually done.

I used to keep measurements and record them quite regularly. One year, I mistakenly compared my OTT measurement with the circumference measurement from the day before. My pumpkin had grown almost 100# in one day! (NOT!)
