Subject: crossing AG's with jackolanterns?

Is it genetically possible to cross pollinate a jackolantern or lumina pumpkin or even a jack be little with an atlantic giant? i dont think its possible but me and my friend were discussing this?

Ity will only cross with other C. Maxima such as the pumpkins Big Max & Prizewinner. It will also cross with Hubbard Squash. Cucurbita Pepo such as Howden, CT Field, etc. won't cross with a Maxima.

Lumina and Casper can cross with AG since they C. Maxima. I have crossed casper and AG. I could send you the seeds this fall if you want some.

Back in May My Father put out 4 Big Max Pumpking plants in his patch the last week in May I gave him one of my 950.4 Boyton plants to put in his patch. His first female was pollinated on July 10th on the Big Max off the same plant and today its around the size of a very large soft ball,
friday July 16th he pollinated another Big max female with a male flower from the 950.4 Boyton and its a tad smaller then the one he pollinated a week before.
both took and are growing well.
