I wander what is your opinion on a plant that produces females on every node? I guess this is a sign of plant ageing (pumpkin rationale: let us get kids before our time is over). Is it because of nitrogen shortage? Jernej

Sounds like it's just a sexed up hot mama plant!

Are you growing the 636 Dill?

Yes Ron it is 636 Dill, but at first it was growing at a steady pace, then it stopped and started to produce females all over. I am guessing that it may ran out of nitrogen. Since it is my prime plant I would really like her to pick up the pace again. So I am interested if anyone have a huntch how could she get more (brute male) power.

Sounds like maybe you need to water more. If the ground starts to dry out the plant will stop growing. If it rains heavily after that the vines will start growing again. The skinny vines will get fat where the new growth starts. I would try some foliar fertilizer and side dress the ground with some 12-12-12. Make sure if it doesn't rain you water the plant. The 636 started a little slower than some of my other plants but I am happy with it's growth now. I have 2 fruit sets. The fruit shape is higher than it is wide.
