As far as I know all Atlantic Giant Pumkins grown nowadays are descendants of plants bred by Howard Dill some time ago. Is this true ? And does anybody know how Howard Dill did this or what the ancestors of the AG pumkins are ?
Kind regards
Jan

Mr. Warnock here is trying to tell give you a clue. Type in his last name in the site search you will get all the info you need. So tell us Bill, is there squash vine borers there, do you ever get double vines, seeds that don't germinate, pumpkins that split or hail where you are at :)

An answer to this question is .......Ahhh...plant some old genetic seeds & watch em grow if you get them up. You will hopefully find the old traits you are asking about...instead of the 845, 723, 712 ,846, 582,783, 895.5,805, and so on that everyone would sell their ass for if they did not have it already...Seems everyone forgets that the good new hot ones came from the old good ones... Plant the old ones next season if you have the room, cause if we wait another year it may be a no go for that particular old genetic worth preserving.....

Thanks for the interesting links. There still seems to be enough room for speculations though ...
