Hello,
I am planning on attending the Ohio Valley tour and picnic. I would like to get in touch with growers of the 723 or 845 Bobier that are attending the picnic or live in Ohio. Or a grower that lives somewhere in between Georgia and Ohio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a fun road trip... just curious, when is the Ohio tour? I am about 5 miles North of the GA line in NC

I grew the 845 last year, had problems with a wet season and stump rot, and no notable fruit. This year I'm growing a late started Lowenthal 1075 (845x723). After flatvining, I'm trying to set one on a secondary. Rose and Gibson are on the tour, they had a LOT better luck than me! Tour is Aug. 1.

I can't help ya with the Bobier's Doug, but I am roadtripping to the tour as well. Who is driving farther between the two of us? Ha.

Brig,

Glad to hear your coming to the Ohio Valley! (You won't regret it!) Are you bringing April and Shannon? See you there!

Is Canfield, Ohio where the picnic is? If it is yahoo maps says it is 795 miles, 12 hrs, 15 min. How long for you Brigette?

As of right now I am coming by myself kilr, taking a few days to get there and get back. But anyone from central WI can go ahead and email me if they are interested in coming with.

Doug...737 miles for me ... 11 hours 20 minutes...but I am not taking the route Yahoo went. I'm pitstopping at Beachy's to cut a few pumpkins off their vines while he is asleep. Indiana State Fair contestants... you all just went up one placing. ;-)

Picnic has always been in Canfield, home of the weigh-off. This year it will be in nearby Salem, Ohio. Jerry Rose is located in Huntsburg(farthest away), you may want to spend the first night around there, other stops are near and around Salem. Jerry, can you hear me now?

Thanks for all the replys. I should have said people growing the 723 or 845 this year, I would like to get a cutting from the plant and grow it the rest of this season. Then I would like to keep a cutting from it alive next winter and grow it again next summer. Last year I harvested my pumpkins on Oct. 30, so I still have alot of time. You can email me privately if you like.
Thank you very much,
Doug Adams
