Should you keep the sun off of a freshly pollinated pumpkin with a bord for a sun block or something. Also, are there any other bonus's to closeing/tieing the flower up after pollination aside from keeping the bee's out? S-Pope

UOW.) Every year learn some thing new, and yes it seems like forever but then the years start runing together and yuh aint got time fer nuthin. H-K-J

With the amount of sun we've had this month I would welcome as much sun as possible on the pumpkin BUT if the temps. would be 90 or above (something WE have not seen reciently) than shade & cooling would be suggested. Is Spence on track to beat last years weight ???????????

I am a little behind in my pollination date but then again I probely will not have much vine borer action this year and the pumpkin is at a better spot on the vine. I will e-mail you on around day 10 to 20. Spencer
