After one of the cooler weeks I have ever seen in July the sun is out and it may hit 80 pluss. I'm so happy :) Let the growing begin.

LOL! Still cloudy and rainy here! I concede defeat for fair Mark. Maybe one of the other fruit will take off, but not the intended plants for sure!

Well, here in the Appalchian Mtns at >3300 ft., it's *too* hot. We're used to low 80's, maybe 85 every so often, as our highs. It's gotten to 90 for two days straight, upper 80's for a week, and my plants are wilting. I never thought I would have to spray the plants to cool them down, but I am. My soil is so nutrient rich right now that the plants are already "soft" and don't even take 1/2 strength pest/fungicide sprays without burning.
Things gotta cool down or my season will end in early September, which would be a disaster.

yay, it hasn't been the low daytime temps that slowed down the plants, its the night time temps in the low 40's that seemed to slow them down...... upper 70's for the next few days!!!! and lows in the upper 50's lower 60's!!! time to grow em'
