Just wondering what anybody does with folded leaves? I have some that got hit a few weeks ago with high winds that've been folded. I propped up bent stems with bamboo sticks, but now the folded portions of the leaves are dying off. In past years I have just cut the damaged portion off with scissors when it became apparent that portion of the leaf was dead and not contributing to photosynthesis. Aside from building a 17 ft. high Nesbitt Wall to avoid wind damage to start with, any better suggestions for treatment of dying folded leaves than scissors? Frank

Not much else you can do Frank, besides cutting off the dead part. When the leaves bend like that, the vascular system is damaged and there's no repairing it.
