My patch has a consistant problem, and I can't figure out what it is. My first plant got hit by a gopher, the plant developed light and dark greem leaves, almost striped. Major root damage can cause leaf abnormalities, so I dug up the plant and restarted.
My 845 nesbitt was great but it then got hit by ant killer blown by the wind from my neighbors. It fried some stump leaves, but the newer leaves became blochy dark green/light green. The plant was 4 feet on the main when hit. It should grow out of the damage, but it never does. All new leaves are normal in shape, size, appearance besides this dark green light green. As the leaves get bigger they turn almost a normal color, still a little off but not much. It's not mosaic, the vine tips are normal, plant is normal, growing very aggresiive, not stunted in anyway.
The plant has become sensitive to heat with a light bronze colored burn on older leaves, and I can't spray on any leaves without getting burn. It seems as if something in my soil is weakening my plant and stressing it out. No deficiencies, had it tested. Could I have nematodes or something? Not even sure what they do? My pumpkin on the 845 is coming on and it is green turning yellow, but not one fluid color, not mosaic look, streaky a little. IS this normal?
If I do a tissue sample how do I do it and where do I send it? The other thing, I have a polinator 980 kuhn 25 feet away in my grass, looks perfect and wasn't harmed by any sprays. The only ammendment i added to my regular patch was bagged compost and bagged potting soil. I used the potting soil on my 980 so it ok. It's getting pretty frustrating doing all the work to have something hurting my plants. Any advice? Jimmy

ps, my plant is now at 10 feet on the main, and has new secondaries everywhere, all new growth shows this abnormality.
