It rained over night for the first time in a while. It was also pouring rain as I tried to make 2 key pollinations. One stayed relatively dry since the female was under a large leaf. The other I should have had a helper holding an umbrella since the minute I set to work, the Heavens opened up & drenched everything. Males & Female got it good.
So I am left asking;
How much water in the blossom (Male of Female) is too much?
TIA - Steve

Generally any water in the females messes them up. When it is raining, I stand real close the the female, and use my body to keep the males and females dry. I have not had any luck with females that had water in them. In fact, I have not had much luck at all on females that were even pollinated during the rain.
