What a funny site this was. I was sitting in front of the computer this morning after doing some work outside on the pumpkin plants when I get a knock on the door. Who is it? Klamath County Narcotics officers! Apparently they received a call that I was probably growing marijuana plants and they had come with badges and guns ready to inspect the contents of the wind breaks.

Once they saw there was nothing to worry about and I explained what I was growing, I happily gave them a tour of the patch with them asking questions as we went. We even complained about the hail to one another because one of the officers had lost his garden during the storm that battered my plants. Satisfied that I wasn't up to no good, they happily left with smiles on their faces.

NOW I know what one of my neighbors thinks of me! LOLOL He's out there at all hours of the day.....he must be a pot head. :-)

I was worried about the same thing! I even put comments in my diary about it when the old man down the road parked next to my house, got out and was looking over my fence into my patch! I'm sure this isn't the last time we will see a post like this on here on BP.

I don't touch the wacky weed but I thought it was funny when the cop told me people are actually bright enough to grow weed in their front yards. What do they think the basement is for? ;-)

Same thing happened to me last year. I'm out in the patch and this Helicopter practically landed in the patch. It just sat there for half an hour...turns out pot plants were found one field over grown by a neighbor. It's par for the course I guess when they looked at the patch...the worst part is having the nieghborhood come by asking what happened...knowing that their thinking the worst.

I get the Life Flight here everyday,, maybe they are looking for a medical provider??

Isn't it legal to cultivate cannabis in Oregon if you have a permit and keep less than a certain number of plants??

Besides I hear that Cannabis grown among your pumkins can increase your pumpkin yield by 45% or more!!!!

Thinking back, my neighbor made a comment "must be a magic garden you have growing back there" so I invited here over for a look at the pumpkins. I suppose it is rather strange having a hydroponics set-up in your back yard with a 27+ foot vine growing from it.

We had a visit from the Airway Heights police a few years ago. They were told we were growing pot too, they came over all polite and asked to "Inspect" our green house as they had a hot tip. Well there was the baby monster plus several baby marigolds I had grown from scratch, they packed them and several tomatoe plants off for "analysis" dumb cops, they brought back the plants the next day and we all had a great laugh, now we live in the country so I can blame the back 40 cash crop on the pesky neighbour kids! LOL

Our tax dollars Hard at work and being wasted.
IMO, someone should be charged with filing a false police report.
Them boys could be out there catching criminals rather than busting tomato plants and taking them back to a lab for expensive testing.

That policeman has never seen a tomato plant ????

Legalize it already and stop wasting my tax dollars on helicopter fuel, expensive lab test and man hours .

FP, I'm not sure on the legality of it in Oregon. I know marijuana for medicinal purposes is legal but I don't think anyone can grow it, with or without a prescription. Not sure though. However, there are clinics around that provide it to people who have a prescription.
