For all of the first timers, like myself, who planted "store bought or catalog seeds". How did they turn out and what weights resulted in using those seeds. Mine weighed in at 184 and another at 178 lbs. Tom

when i planted AG seeds from a catalog I grew one that weighed around 100-115. And a bunch around 60-80. But when I planted the good seeds.......all my plants died....bad luck huh :)

I grew one about 100-125 this year. Last time I tried I got the seed from Howard Dill it was 410 lbs, that was 6 yrs ago.

I grew two at 110 & 70 lb'ers. very disapointing after all the time and effort. I even started my season the year before with a good load of manure. But the season was not a total loss...I learned alot...next year I'll be armed and dangerous...o.k. maybe just dangerous

The generic seeds that I got the pumpkins have been in the 75-125 range. Of course they didn't get the TLC like my seeds from Len in N.Y. Thanks again Len for the seeds.

I am a first time grower, and bought some Big Max seeds at the local hardware store. I know my biggest will pass 150# and maybe close to 200#. I will be taking it to the weighoff this saturday, eventhough I think it would have more growing to do. I just posted some pics if you would like to see it.

I am also a first time grower, and I purchased seeds from Gurney's Seed Catalog. I first one weighed in at 135 # at the county fair. I have two more which I think should weigh about 200 pounds.
