I have some small cracks in my pumpkin and was told to mix some Captan and a little water and put that in the crack. But here in california we can not get Captan. can somebody recommend anything else.. thanks , jason

Powdered sulfur works, but maybe you can't get that in Ca. either!

Try looking at one of the better gardening shops in your area for the garden sulfur. They may recommend some other type of powder fungicide which might work.
Until you get somthing to put on you fruit I would run a small fan to dry out the injured area. Dean o

if you do find Captan, be careful with it. it's nasty stuff if you were to inhale any of its dust

thanks for your replys. the cracks are nice and dry. looks like they are kinda healing. will they heal???
