this is my first year growing & i wanna give a BIG thanks to everyone that hollared at me to buy The Giant Pumpkin books by Don Langevin..to my surprise i accidently accomplished the wishbone without even knowing about it , i have 3 primarys coming from the stump but only fruited a pumpkin on 2 of them 1 is 22" circumferance & the other is 18"(both at day 10)...i was dreading having to cull one of these but from scanning through the book it looks like i may be ok bringing both to maturity ..have any of you guys had any luck with this formation?.should i cull the third primary?.i figured its about time to end the vines, im early because indiana state fair is august 21, also my soil sample showed a medium light nitrogen content & heavy phosphurus & potassium.. its gonna be straight water for a while with some foliar feeding once a week..already got my shade up to keep them protected.now im praying to the pumpkin gods
